improve literacy levels across the lifespan. By coordinating services, resources, and planning, the
Literacy Coalition supports existing literacy efforts while striving toward
100% literacy.

After
December 2013, you will no longer be able to take the written (paper and
pencil) GED test. The
GED test will be a new and different exam, and you’ll only be able to take
it on a computer. Scores
for any tests you’ve passed before that date will expire (i.e. will not be
use-able). If
you don’t have your GED by then, you will have to start over studying for
a new test.
Register no for
Ann Arbor Public Schools Adult Education free GED Preparation. This includes free testing if you attend class. See the attached flyer for more information.

The 9th Ypsilanti Community African American Read-In will take place Sunday, February 10, 2013, 2:00-4:00 pm at the Ypsilanti District Library-Whittaker Rd. The theme is
"Readers Are Heroes," highlighting comic books and graphic
novels authored by African Americans.
Splendor Educational Consulting
and the Ypsilanti District Library are partners in this wonderful
"adventure." More information is available at the African American Read-In website.

Prospective students (ages 18 and older who do not have to live in the AAPS district) must come to Ann Arbor Technical H.S. (formerly Stone, at 2800 Stone School Road) to make an appointment for registration on August 22, 23 and 24 (which takes about two hours). Staff will be there to make these appointments between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Registration is first-come, first-served, and our classes will fill before they begin on Friday, September 7. The ESL program is free and located on an AATA bus route.
