About Us

Founded in 2007, the Literacy Coalition’s mission is to end illiteracy in Washtenaw County. Its member organizations in the public, private, educational, and nonprofit sectors work together to improve literacy levels across the lifespan. By coordinating services, resources, and planning, the Literacy Coalition supports existing literacy efforts while striving toward 100% literacy.
